Instructions

Step 1: Remove Existing Showerhead

Unscrew counterclockwise. For best results, clean pipe threads of any sealant or tape.

Step 2: Apply Plumber’s Tape to Shower Arm Pipe Threads

Wrap tape clockwise, in the same direction the showerhead will be rotated during installation, with 2–4 complete revolutions.

Step 3: Install New Seventy Showerhead

Attach by rotating clockwise. Grasp the collar of the fitting at the back of the showerhead and fully hand-tighten. Set the dial to the current month as a filter-change reminder by aligning the number with the indicator. Replace the filter every 6 months* and flush by running warm water for at least 1 minute before first use.

Step 4: Final Step

Clear the work area, turn on the shower, and check for leaks. If any leakage occurs, turn off the water and further tighten connections. If leaking persists at the shower arm, remove the filter body, replace the plumber’s tape, and repeat steps 2 and 3.

How do I remember to change the filter?

We’ve made it easy to stay on top of your filter changes. Each Seventy showerhead features a built-in reminder dial just set it to the current month when you install your new filter. The dial acts as a gentle nudge, so you’ll always know when it’s time to refresh your water and elevate your shower experience all over again.

What is the showerhead filtering out?

Water quality varies depending on where you live, but most tap water contains substances that can affect your skin and hair over time. The Seventy Filtered Showerhead is designed to help reduce the presence of chlorine, chloramines, and heavy metals, offering a gentler, more nourishing shower experience.

Bathing in unfiltered water can contribute to skin dryness, irritation, and dull, damaged hair. Our advanced filtration works to minimize these effects—leaving you feeling refreshed from the inside out.

How does the Seventy filter work?

The Seventy Fixed Filtered Showerhead is powered by your water pressure—channeling flow through our built-in filtration system to help purify every drop.

At the core is our KDF (Kinetic Degradation Fluxion) filter, made from high-purity copper-zinc alloy. This technology uses a natural oxidation-reduction process to effectively reduce chlorine, lead, mercury, iron, hydrogen sulfide, and other heavy metals—giving you cleaner water that’s gentler on your skin and hair.

How do I use the plumber’s tape included with my showerhead?

Every Seventy Showerhead comes with a roll of plumber’s thread seal tape to help you create a secure, leak-proof connection.

Here’s how to use it:
Before attaching your Seventy Filtered Showerhead, wrap the plumber’s tape clockwise around the threads of your shower arm (the pipe extending from the wall). This helps create a tight seal when the showerhead is screwed on.

Why it matters:

  • Watertight Seal: The tape fills in tiny gaps between threads to prevent leaks.
  • Leak Prevention: It guards against imperfections or wear on the pipe that could allow water to escape.
  • Easy Installation Tip: Wrap the tape snugly, but don’t overdo it—too much tape can keep the showerhead from screwing on correctly.

For full step-by-step instructions, refer to the guide included in your box or view it online here.

Can I adjust the water pressure?

While the water pressure itself can’t be changed on the fixed showerhead, you can easily switch between four spray settings massage, full spray, massage + spray, and trickle to enjoy a range of sensations and flow intensities tailored to your mood and needs. Should you want an adjustable water pressure feature, we’ve got you covered. Check out our Filtered Magnetic Handheld Showerhead or the 2-in-1 Combo Showerhead, both featuring a water pressure slider.

Will this showerhead affect my shower pressure?

Seventy showerheads are thoughtfully engineered to maximize your water pressure, delivering a powerful, invigorating shower without any reduction in flow. Enjoy full-strength refreshment every time.

Will this fit in my shower?

Yes! Seventy showerheads use the standard ½” thread size common across the United States. If your shower arm comes from the wall or ceiling, installation is simple and seamless—ready to elevate your daily routine.

How do I operate the showerhead?

Changing your spray pattern is simple. Just use the convenient tab on the side to cycle through the four settings: full spray, massage, massage + spray, and trickle letting you customize your shower experience with ease.

How do I clean my showerhead?

Keeping your Seventy showerhead in peak condition is simple—and helps maintain a refreshing, uninterrupted flow. Here’s how to care for your fixed showerhead:

  1. Separate the filter housing just like when you’re changing the filter. Remove the filter to protect it during cleaning.
  2. Prepare a cleaning solution of equal parts vinegar and water (or use your preferred gentle cleaning solution). Submerge the showerhead in the solution and let it soak for 15–20 minutes to dissolve mineral buildup.
  3. After soaking, gently scrub the nozzles with a soft cloth or small brush to remove any remaining residue. This only needs to be done once or twice a year, or when you notice water flow slowing.
  4. Rinse thoroughly with clean water, reinsert the filter, and reinstall your showerhead.

Enjoy a consistently revitalizing shower experience, every time.

Why am I seeing dust/sediment in my package or on the filter inside the showerhead?

It’s normal and harmless to see a little dust or sediment when you first use one of our filtered showerheads. With KDF filters, this is often just tiny particles of the copper-zinc media inside. The golden or gold-brown residue can appear after shipping or handling but is not a contaminant or a sign of damage. New filters may release some particles if not flushed before use, but they’re completely safe and will clear once you run water through the showerhead as directed in the installation instructions.
