Instructions

Step 1: Remove Existing Showerhead

Unscrew counterclockwise. For best results, clean pipe threads of any sealant or tape.

Step 2: Apply Plumber’s Tape to Shower Arm Pipe Threads

Wrap tape clockwise, matching the direction the showerhead will rotate during installation, with 2–4 complete revolutions.

Step 3: Attach New Seventy Showerhead Filter Housing

Rotate clockwise until fully hand-tight, positioning the hose connection downward.

Step 4: Attach Shower Hose and Wand

Secure hose to both the shower wand and filter housing. Dock wand onto base. Set the dial to the current month for filter change reminders. Flush the filter by running warm water for 1 minute before first use.

Step 5: Final Step

Turn on the shower and check for leaks. If any occur, turn off water, tighten connections, or reapply plumber’s tape as needed.

FAQ
How do I install?

Start by wiping down your workspace—clean, dry surfaces are key to a safe installation. Always make sure your shower area is dry and your footing is secure before you begin.

Follow the step-by-step instructions included in your box, or noted above.

How do I change my filter?
  1. Remove the wand from the shower base and lower it until it hangs freely by the shower hose.
  2. Press the oval buttons on each side of the filter housing to separate the housing.
  3. Once the housing is open, twist and remove the filter canister, then discard the used filter.
  4. Peel off the sticker from the bottom of the new filter.
  5. Ensure that O-rings are properly installed on both the top and bottom of the filter housing, and that all air-tight seals have been removed.
  6. Insert the new filter canister into the wand dock head and twist to lock it in place. Align the head with the housing and press firmly to snap the showerhead halves back together.
How do I remember to change the filter?

We’ve made it easy to stay on top of your filter changes. Each Seventy showerhead features a built-in reminder dial just set it to the current month when you install your new filter. The dial acts as a gentle nudge, so you’ll always know when it’s time to refresh your water and elevate your shower experience all over again.

When should I replace my filter?

Seventy showerhead filters are crafted to last through approximately 3,500 gallons of water that’s about 194 showers or 6 months of rejuvenating use. *Actual lifespan may vary based on household size, shower frequency, and duration. To keep your water experience at its best, stay on track with our cartridge refill program or shop new cartridges directly here.

What is the showerhead filtering out?

Water quality varies depending on where you live, but most tap water contains substances that can affect your skin and hair over time. The Seventy Filtered Magnetic Handheld Showerhead is designed to help reduce the presence of chlorine, chloramines, and heavy metals, offering a gentler, more nourishing shower experience.

Bathing in unfiltered water can contribute to skin dryness, irritation, and dull, damaged hair. Our advanced filtration works to minimize these effects—leaving you feeling refreshed from the inside out.

How does the Seventy filter work?

The Seventy Filtered Magnetic Handheld Showerhead is powered by your water pressure—channeling flow through our built-in filtration system to help purify every drop.

At the core is our KDF (Kinetic Degradation Fluxion) filter, made from high-purity copper-zinc alloy. This technology uses a natural oxidation-reduction process to effectively reduce chlorine, lead, mercury, iron, hydrogen sulfide, and other heavy metals—giving you cleaner water that’s gentler on your skin and hair.

How do I use the plumber’s tape included with my showerhead?

Every Seventy Showerhead comes with a roll of plumber’s thread seal tape to help you create a secure, leak-proof connection.

Here’s how to use it:
Before attaching your Seventy Filtered Magnetic Handheld Showerhead wrap the plumber’s tape clockwise around the threads of your shower arm (the pipe extending from the wall). This helps create a tight seal when the showerhead is screwed on.

Why it matters:

  • Watertight Seal: The tape fills in tiny gaps between threads to prevent leaks.
  • Leak Prevention: It guards against imperfections or wear on the pipe that could allow water to escape.
  • Easy Installation Tip: Wrap the tape snugly, but don’t overdo it—too much tape can keep the showerhead from screwing on correctly.

For full step-by-step instructions, refer to the guide included in your box or view it online here.

Can I adjust the water pressure?

Yes! The handheld shower wand features an adjustable water pressure slider right on the front of the handle—giving you effortless control over your shower’s intensity.

Will this showerhead affect my shower pressure?

Seventy showerheads are expertly designed to maximize the pressure coming from your pipes. Plus, with an adjustable water pressure slider on the handle, you have easy control to customize your perfect flow.

Will this fit in my shower?

Yes! Seventy showerheads use the standard ½” thread size found throughout the United States. If your shower arm extends from the wall or ceiling, installation is easy and hassle-free.

How do I operate the showerhead?
  1. Magnetic Docking: Our SNAPNETIX™ magnetic system securely snaps the wand into place for easy detachment and replacement—making it simple to reach and dock every time
  2. Adjust Water Pressure: Use the slider on the front of the showerhead arm to customize your water pressure.
  3. Change Spray Patterns: Switch between five spray settings—massage, proprietary woven, spray, spray + massage, or trickle—using the tab on the side of the showerhead face.
  4. Using the Handheld Wand: To remove the wand from its base, push the bottom of the wand up and lift it off. Activate the wand spray by pressing the button on the back of the wand.

Enjoy a fully personalized and effortless shower experience.

How do I clean my showerhead?

Maintaining your Seventy Showerhead is simple and ensures peak performance. Here’s how to keep your showerhead fresh and flowing smoothly:

  1. Undock the handheld wand from the shower base and lower it until it’s hanging freely by the hose.
  2. Unscrew the showerhead from the hose.
  3. Press the oval buttons on both sides of the filter housing to separate the two halves.
  4. Twist to remove the filter canister and set it aside.
  5. Prepare a solution of equal parts vinegar and water (or use your preferred cleaning solution). Submerge the showerhead (excluding the filter) and soak for 15–20 minutes to dissolve mineral buildup.
  6. After soaking, gently scrub the nozzles with a cloth or small brush to remove any remaining debris. This cleaning only needs to be done once or twice a year, or when you notice water flow slowing.
  7. Rinse the showerhead thoroughly, reinsert the filter, and reinstall the showerhead.
Why am I seeing dust/sediment in my package or on the filter inside the showerhead?

It’s normal and harmless to see a little dust or sediment when you first use one of our filtered showerheads. With KDF filters, this is often just tiny particles of the copper-zinc media inside. The golden or gold-brown residue can appear after shipping or handling but is not a contaminant or a sign of damage. New filters may release some particles if not flushed before use, but they’re completely safe and will clear once you run water through the showerhead as directed in the installation instructions.
